Still time to request an Absentee Ballot …

If you cannot get to the polls on Election Day, November 8, there is still time to request and absentee ballot. An application for an New York State absentee ballot may be submitted to your county Board of Elections up to seven days before the election — which means you have until Tuesday, November 1 to submit your application.

Countdown Until the Election

NYSUT’s 2016 Voter Guide, available online, includes a complete list of union-endorsed candidates as recommended by our local presidents and Political Action Committee, and approved by the Board of Directors. The guide explores critical races and gives the rationale for many endorsements. Take the time to read and consider this information before you cast your ballot on Nov. 8.

NYSUT is a broad and diverse organization, and not everyone will agree on all the issues. The process is designed to reflect the decisions made by the members’ representatives in support of candidates for Congress and the state Senate and Assembly who stand up on key issues important to the betterment of the educational community. Endorsed candidates have been thoroughly vetted with local union leaders and activists from every corner of the state.
