Call for Volunteers

Joan Perrini, NYSUT Regional Retiree Consultant, put out a call for NYSUT members to help get out the vote for the upcoming Democratic Primary. The R-UTN is passing on this message as a favor to NYSUT and the AFT. If you are interested, please read Joan Perrini’s full message.

This election is so critical.  Retirees have been asked to help.  Let’s see if we can get a group, especially for the 17th & 18th, after the Representative Assembly.

Take a look at the email below, from Jeff Friedman, and then please submit your name to Jeff (and also copy me at perrinli@optonline.net).  Pictures maybe taken with Hillary.

I appreciate any help you can give.

The NEA and AFT have been a driving force in helping Hillary Clinton secure primary victories across the country – and have been on the ground since day one, engaging and mobilizing our brothers and sisters through phone banking and canvassing efforts. The New York State Democratic Primary is coming up in two short weeks and we need your help to get out the vote for Hillary on April 19th.

Below is a list of dates and times of shifts.  We are asking our members if they could take one volunteer shift.  These shifts will be primarily canvassing.

Let me know what your availability is  – I will need your name phone number email address and what shifts you would like to fill.

April 9th and April 10th shifts will be at IBEW Local 25, 370 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, Hauppague, NY 11788

Shifts are approximately 3 hours 9:00 AM, 12 noon, 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM

On April 17th and 18th there will be 2 locations to choose from with the same shift start times 9:00 AM, 12 Noon, 3;00 PM, 6:00 PM
