The Community Action Committee is a service committee that endeavors to connect R-UTN members with volunteer organizations, worthy local charities, and group “field trips.”
Scarfs, Hats, Gloves Needed
To help local families stay warm this winter, the Northport-East Northport Public Library is collecting new, gently used or hand made hats, gloves and scarfs for adults and children. Items can brought to the reference desk at either building by January 8th. All donations will be given to the Family Service League for distribution.
Good News for Residents of Huntington Township
Huntington Township residents 60 years and older can obtain a free, Senior Citizen Seasonal Parking Beach Permit. Permits are are available only at the Centerport Public Beach. Vehicle registration and driver’s license are required. Permits can be used for any Huntington Town beaches.
Huntington Senior Membership Cards are also available to residents 60 and older. Cards are required for participation in Senior Division programs. Bring proof of residency and age to the Senior Center Front Office, 423 Park Avenue, Huntington (Community Cinema Building).
